Biography

I am a dedicated and passionate educator who has earned the trust and respect of my students, colleagues, and the wider school community. Throughout my career, I have worked for 11 years in the public school sector and 4 years in the private school sector. I possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, which have enabled me to work effectively with children across various cognitive, behavioural, developmental, and emotional spectrums, and colleagues of diverse backgrounds. My teaching philosophy prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and student-centered learning. I was a member of the Cumberland County Science Curriculum Development Team, where I contributed significantly to the creation of instructional materials such as HyperDocs for fellow educators. Additionally, I served as a science coach and mentor within my school district and delivered professional development sessions on best practices for science education and the integration of STEM-based and inquiry-based learning in elementary classrooms. One of my major PDs was titled “Digital Tools for Engagement in the Classroom”.
