Biography

I am an elementary STEM teacher at The KAUST School in Saudi Arabia, passionate about hands-on learning, nurturing creativity, and instilling wonder, curiosity, and global appreciation in students. With 14 years experience as a homeroom teacher in the UK and Germany before transitioning to STEM specialist for four years, I bring unique cross-curricular collaboration insights. I champion inquiry-based learning where students design, build, experiment, and problem-solve while embracing discovery’s joy. My approach centers on empowering learner agency, providing tools and opportunities for students to own their educational journey, fostering independence and critical thinking. As a three-year mentor to Saudi trainee teachers, I’ve developed culturally responsive pedagogy, creating inclusive environments where students appreciate our global community while building skills to become responsible global citizens.
