Kate McLaren

Biography

Kate McLaren has been teaching Art for 20 years and is Head of Department at Repton School Abu Dhabi.  Kate has been living in the UAE for the past 4 years and enjoys making links with other organisations; pre-Covid, Kate organized the installation of work created by Repton school children into The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, ensuring that every child in the school had work represented in the final outcomes.  Kate is a member of the Louvre Abu Dhabi Teachers Committee and has worked with the Louvre Abu Dhabi in their ‘Museum Voices: Young Guides’ project; making museum artifacts relevant to students.  Repton Abu Dhabi students have also had their work displayed at World Art Dubai, where Kate has run workshops representing Repton Group of Schools.   Kate is a practicing artist, producing mixed media projects based on landscape and natural form.
