Biography

Anthony has recently joined Fairgreen International School where he is the head of the department for science. Previously he was an innovation coach for the English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong where he supported STEM teachers in better-integrating maker centred learning into their curricula. He is a strong proponent of constructionist learning and has worked with Harvard Project Zero and ISTE to explore frameworks and technologies for successful implementation. He is currently a member of the curriculum review team for the International Baccalaureate’s middle school design program, a position in which he hopes to encourage further alignment of the STEM subjects in middle school education.

Anthony created Maker Learners, an online community of educators and enthusiasts that are developing projects that sit at the intersection between Maker and STEAM education. He is also Codecademy’s chapter leader for Dubai, a community consisting of educators that create interdisciplinary learning experiences using programming.
